TESTIMONIALS

Dr. Morris Tai

I originally went into the chiropractic field as a sports medicine specialist.  I had a strong concentration of track and field athletes and Olympic Weight Lifters.  I have over 18 years of chiropractic experience and in that course of time I have associated in more than a handful of chiropractic offices.  As a result I have learned and tested all types of chiropractic and body work techniques.  I am very technically strong in the typical chiropractic manipulation and adjustments as well as physiotherapy techniques.Read More..

The Spine Doc

Headache
Vertigo:
Dizziness or vertigo can be caused by upper cervical misalignments and brainstem pressure or stretching. Vertigo can be eliminated by realigning the upper cervical region and stretching the spinal cord to alleviate pressure on the brainstem.

Neck Pain
Neck Pain
Neck Pain:
General neck pain and stiffness can be caused by misalignment in the neck region but also a restriction of the spinal cord movement in this region. The spinal cord is like a rope that needs to move freely in the spinal canal. Any restriction of the spinal cord due to scar tissue adhesion will cause abnormal movement and function of the spine and cause the spine to wind up like a spring. By removing these adhesions through spinal cord stretching, the spine is allowed to unwind and pain will disappear and spinal function will return.
Cervical Disc Herniation
Cervical Disc Herniation
Cervical Disc Herniation:
Discs in the cervical region can lose their body height and integrity causing numbness and pain down the arm and hand. The medical profession as well as physical therapy and most chiropractors are focused on the disc pinching on the nerve and use therapies to increase this disc height. However, Lighthouse chiropractic has a much more effective technique that focuses on stretching the spinal cord that is caught or tethered at these areas due to scar tissue around the disc herniation and spinal degeneration, permanently relieving the neck pain.
Tinnitus
Tinnitus
Tinnitus:
Ringing of the ear can also be caused by upper cervical misalignments and brainstem pressure or stretching. Vertigo can be eliminated by realigning the upper cervical region and stretching the spinal cord to alleviate pressure on the brainstem.
TMJ
TMJ
TMJ:
Clicking and pain in the temporal mandibular joint can be relieved when the spine is aligned correctly. If the spine is not correctly aligned, this causes the head to sit on the spine at an uneven level. This then causes the jaw to be uneven causing one side of the jaw to open or close more than the other side. By truly correcting the spinal structure and aligning the spine, the head will sit more evenly on the spine and therefore the jaw joints will open and close evenly on both sides and alleviate the TMJ pain.
Whiplash
Whiplash
Whiplash:
Neck pain from a force causing the neck to go forward then backward at an accelerated speed beyond your control causes pain due to muscular and ligament damage as well as misalignments in the neck region. Even a mild whiplash can cause the neck to have a reverse cervical curve. Normally the neck has a curve like a backwards “C” however whiplash can cause the curve to change in the opposite direction. This will cause abnormal movements in the neck, place abnormal pressure on the discs and joints, and abnormal stretching of the brain stem and spinal cord. However, through spinal cord stretching and realignment of the joints, the neck can return to its normal curvature and function.
Cervical Stenosis
Cervical Stenosis
Cervical Stenosis:
The hole where the nerve root exits the spine has been altered through scar tissue or bony spurs. The hole is therefore reduced causing pressure and irritation to the nerve and pain down the area where the nerve goes to. Lighthouse chiropractic focuses on stretching the spinal cord through adhesions and scar tissue which can remove the pressure and irritation to the nerve root caused by stenosis.
Upper Back Pain
Upper Back Pain
Upper Back Pain:
This is also called stress pain. This is the area of the upper back and shoulder region where most people massage and stretch due to pain and stiffness. Misalignments of the joints and spinal cord tethering in this area causes this are to be tight and stiff. Stretching the spinal cord and eliminating the adhesion's in this area will remove this tightness and stiffness in the upper back.
Mid Back Pain
Mid Back Pain
Mid Back Pain:
Pain in the mid back can be due to misalignments in the thoracic spine and particularly the rib cage and also restriction of spinal cord movement. People with a hyper kyphotic curve, where the mid back is bending forward more than normal (hunch back) causes the spinal cord to move over a larger curve. Since the cord has a small limited amount of movement built into its structure, moving over a larger curve than normal in the mid back can cause mid back pain, restrict breathing capacity and even cause arm pain.
Lumbar Stenosis
Lumbar Stenosis
Lumbar Stenosis:
The hole where the nerve root exits the spine has been altered through scar tissue or bony spurs. The hole is therefore reduced causing pressure and irritation to the nerve and pain down the area where the nerve goes to. Lighthouse chiropractic focuses on stretching the spinal cord through adhesions and scar tissue which can remove the pressure and irritation to the nerve root caused by stenosis.
Lumber Disc Herniation
Lumber Disc Herniation
Lumbar Disc Herniation:
Discs in the lumbar region can lose their body height and integrity causing numbness and pain down the buttocks, leg and foot. The medical profession as well as physical therapy and most chiropractors are focused on the disc pinching on the nerve and use therapies to increase this disc height. However, Lighthouse chiropractic has a much more effective technique that focuses on stretching the spinal cord that is caught or tethered at these areas due to scar tissue around the disc herniation and spinal degeneration, permanently relieving the low back pain.
Lower Back Pain
Lower Back Pain
Low back pain:
General low back pain and stiffness can be caused by misalignments in the lumbar region but also a restriction of the spinal cord movement in this region.
Hip Pain
Hip Pain
Hip Pain:
Misalignments in the pelvis can cause abnormal function in the hip region. The delicate balancing act of the buttock muscles, hip flexors and lumbar muscles are altered with misalignments in the pelvis. Allowing the pelvis and lumbar spine to realign through adjustments and spinal cord stretching can return the function of the pelvis and hips.
Knee Region
Knee Region
Knee Region:
Even when x-rays show degeneration of the knee, this pain can be relieved through proper alignment of the spine and pelvis. If the pelvis is not correctly aligned this leads to hip misalignments which leads to knee misalignments. By properly realigning the hips and spine and stretching the spinal cord to allow the spine to unwind, the knee pain can be eliminated.
